The New Stone Soup reviewed the general tBlog system and identified several key terms and pages that tBloggers need to navigate both the virtual tBlog world and the World Wide Web. Here is our limited-but always growing-collection of basic definitions. Where images or further bits of information are in order, we've made special links available that will help you travel between definitions, or will take you directly to nifty, helpful pictures. Can't find your definition? Let us know! Still confused? Give us a clue and we'll sniff out the solution.

AVATAR, BLOG – An avatar is an image of yourself, or a mask, that you’d like to present to the world. Your Blog Avatar is a small image that you Upload to My Images, no more than 50 Pixels wide—a much smaller image than tBlog allows for your Profile Avatar . Once your image has been uploaded, you will find the picture listed with various details. Find “Blog Avatar? No [make this my avatar]” and click away.

** Note: In recent tBlog months, your Blog Avatar is controlled by setting your Profile Avatar.  Setting your Blog Avatar will have no effect because you are only allowed a single avatar for both your blog and your profile.


AVATAR, PROFILE – An avatar is an image of yourself, or a mask, that you’d like to present to the world. Your Profile Avatar is an image that you Upload to My Images. Once your image has been uploaded, you will find the picture listed with various details. Find “Profile Avatar? No [make this my avatar]” and click away. Once your profile avatar is set, readers will see this image when they check out your My Profile page.

** Note: The image you choose may be somewhat larger than the image you use as your Blog Avatar .

Thank you, Whisper. No, I'm just an old tBlog meat-head with a New Year's resolution to be more thankful for what I have. In the tBlog world, I've held a blog under a different name for several years--several free years (except for one "pro" year that I seem to remember).

And then I was thinking about all the changes tBlog has seen over the years, all the time and effort tBlog has put into giving me a free place to rant, and I thought I'd try to give something back.

For the record, I'd be very happy to have other tBloggers participate, to store some serious tBlog advice here with the goal of knocking off some of the stress that Rocky/Nickster shoulder for their support duties.

you have put in a great effort. Definitely i have found tblog "the best" place to rant. and i do appreciate their efforts to make it better and better.
hoping to see more from you and interacting more with each other :)
